What we do

Three kinds of work.
One standard.

Whatever the size of the job, you get the same crew lead, a written plan and a clean house at the end of every day.

01

Repair & restore

The list on the fridge, finally done.

Sticking doors, soft spots, cracked tile, the drip that’s been dripping since spring. We bring the parts, fix it properly and leave the room the way we found it, minus the problem.

Plan a repair
  • Doors, windows & hardware
  • Drywall, plaster & trim
  • Rot & water-damage repair
  • Faucets, lights & fans
  • Floor & stair repair
  • Fix-it visits: a half-day for the whole list
02

Refresh & renew

Rooms you’ll actually want to be in.

Kitchens, baths and the rooms in between. Paint, tile, cabinets, lighting and layout, planned on paper first, so you know what it costs and how long it takes before we start.

Plan a refresh
  • Kitchen & bath refreshes
  • Cabinet painting & new counters
  • Tile, backsplash & flooring
  • Interior & exterior painting
  • Porches, decks & steps
  • Built-ins & trim carpentry
03

Maintain & care

Small visits that prevent big ones.

Gutters, caulk, filters, detectors, the chimney cap and the deck. Book a single seasonal visit, or join the Care plan and we’ll show up four times a year with a checklist and a ladder.

Plan a visit See this season’s list
  • Seasonal home check, top to bottom
  • Gutters & downspouts
  • Weatherstripping & caulking
  • Detector & filter changes
  • Deck & exterior upkeep
  • Care plan: four visits a year, first call after storms

and every day between.

Kitchen refresh · Larch Hill

A 1988 kitchen, kept and rethought.

The layout worked; everything else had given up. We kept the footprint and the plumbing where it was, painted the boxes sage, swapped the uppers for oak shelves and ran handmade tile up to the hood.

Bath refresh · Fernmoor

Pink tile out, green tile in.

A floating oak vanity, a round brass mirror and a glass shower where the curtain used to be. Same plumbing walls, nine working days.

Porch & steps · Pell’s Crossing

A porch you can lean on again.

New posts, railings and treads, rot repaired under the floor, then siding and trim painted. Finished the week before a graduation party.

    Where we work

About twenty-five minutes from Mill Street.

Our shop sits beside the old North Line rail bed in Wrenfield. We keep jobs close so crews spend their day working, not driving. Pick a town to see when we’re usually there.

    WrenfieldHome base

Our shop and lumber racks are on Mill Street. A crew is in town every weekday.

    Neighbors

    Kind words from
    down the road.

They fixed the sticking doors, a leaking trap and a cracked stair tread in one morning, then swept up after themselves.
    Ellen M.Wrenfield · Fix-it visit
The estimate was line by line, so we could drop the backsplash and keep the budget. Nothing changed after we signed.
    Jen L.Stillbrook · Bath refresh
We’re on the four-season plan. I haven’t thought about the gutters in two years, and I like it that way.
    Dot K.Fernmoor · Care plan
Rebuilt our porch steps the week before my daughter’s graduation party. Solid as a rock.
    Walt H.Pell’s Crossing · Porch & steps
Three bedrooms and the hall painted while we were away for the weekend. Came home to clean floors and the furniture back where it was.
    Ana S.Ashgrove · Interior painting
Tom told us what we didn’t need to do. That’s why we called them back for the kitchen.

    Questions

    Good questions,
    straight answers.

Something we missed? Call the shop at (603) 555-0164. Mara answers weekdays from 7:30.

    Do you take small jobs?

Yes. A sticky door, a dripping faucet, a loose railing. We group small jobs into a half-day fix-it visit so your whole list gets done in one trip.

Are the walk-through and estimate free?

Yes, anywhere in our service area. You get a written, line-by-line estimate within five days of the visit, and it’s good for sixty days.

    How soon can you start?

Small repairs usually within two weeks. Kitchens, baths, decks and porches are typically scheduled four to eight weeks out, and we’ll give you a firm start date when you sign.

    Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We’re a registered home improvement contractor, fully insured, and we pull permits and book inspections whenever a job needs them.

Do I need to be home while you work?

Only for the walk-through and the final check. Plenty of customers leave us a key or a lockbox code; your crew lead texts a short update at the end of each day.

    What’s the Care plan?

Four visits a year, one each season, working through the checklist above plus anything on your own list. Members get a written report after each visit and first call after storms.

What if something isn’t right afterwards?

Call us. Our workmanship is guaranteed for two years, and the same crew lead comes back to make it right.

    Ready when you are.

Start with the planner, or call the shop and talk it through.
