About SkyerWorks

One designer. Every pixel.

SkyerWorks is a one-person web design studio founded in 2026 by Wayne Scire. It designs and builds custom business websites, wedding websites and interactive property maps, and every one of them is designed, coded and looked after by hand, by the same person you email.

Who Wayne is

Wayne Scire has been designing websites for about fifteen years. His day job is in IT, keeping systems fast, secure and running, and SkyerWorks puts both to work.

The design side shows in the pages: a homepage that answers the customer's first question on the first screen, type and color chosen for one business rather than picked from a theme, and a map drawn for one property. The IT side shows in everything underneath: pages that stay small and quick on a phone, hosting that is monitored and backed up, and nothing loaded from other companies' servers unless a feature needs it. The studio's line is "Websites & maps, seen from above," which is also how the maps are drawn.

How SkyerWorks started

SkyerWorks grew out of Wayne and Christy's own destination wedding website, ido2026.com, built for their wedding on October 7, 2026 at Villa Serenita on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

The site carried every guest through the trip: the schedule, travel, RSVP and an island map with directions to the villa. That map raised the question that became one of the studio's four services. A GPS pin is little help on an island road, so Wayne built the Island Journey, a 3D turn-by-turn preview of the last 1.2 miles to Villa Serenita, shown over real satellite imagery and 3D terrain from Mapbox with a self-hosted fallback built from public map data, as a proof of concept for a villa on St. Thomas. The ido2026.com case study and the 3D directions page show both in detail.

How the work is done

One person does everything from the first call to launch, and you see a free mockup before you pay anything.

  • A fifteen-minute call first. About your business, your day or your property, to confirm scope and budget.
  • Then a free mockup. Wayne designs one first-pass homepage or map, so you see the direction before committing to anything.
  • A fixed price in writing. The proposal sets the price, the launch date and what is included. Payment is 50% to begin and the balance before launch.
  • Two revision rounds are part of every starting package.
  • Hand-coded pages. HTML, CSS and JavaScript written for your site, with no templates and no page builders, and fonts hosted on your own domain.
  • Private and installable. skyerworks.com loads no analytics or ad pixels (the only cookies are Google’s, set by the spam check on the contact form), installs as an app and keeps working offline. Your site can be built the same way.

The process page walks through the four steps, what you supply and how the timeline is set.

What you own

After final payment, your design, content and domain are yours; the shared map engine is licensed to you for your site, forever.

If you ever move to another host or designer, you take your design and content with you. Any third-party software or subscriptions are listed in the proposal, so it is clear from the start what is yours and what is rented.

Where SkyerWorks works

SkyerWorks is remote-first, working with clients across the United States and the Caribbean by video call.

The first call, the mockup review and the launch handover all happen on a call or by email. For property maps, a video-call walk-through of the property works when there are no plans to send. The two real projects published so far, ido2026.com and the Island Journey, are both on St. Thomas; the work is done the same way wherever your business or property is.

Four principles

Four rules run through every SkyerWorks site and map.

  1. Answer the customer's first question on the first screen. Hours, price, where you are, how to book: whatever people arrive asking, the homepage says it before they scroll.
  2. Fast on phones. Small pages, images sized for the screens that load them, self-hosted fonts and no plugin stack.
  3. Private by default. No trackers unless you ask for analytics, and then they are set up during the build and explained at handover.
  4. You own it. Your design, content and domain, the shared map engine licensed to you for your site, and a proposal that lists anything you do not own.

Questions about SkyerWorks

Who designs and builds the site?

Wayne Scire, personally. SkyerWorks is a one-person studio: the design, the code, the map, the hosting and the updates after launch are all his work. When you email, you get him.

Where is SkyerWorks based?

SkyerWorks is remote-first and works with clients across the United States and the Caribbean by video call. Calls, mockup reviews and handovers happen online, and property maps can be built from plans, photos or a video walk-through.

Do you outsource any of the work?

No. One person handles every project end to end, which is why the free mockup is designed by the same person who codes the finished site.

Can we meet?

Yes, by video call. The first call is fifteen minutes about your business, your day or your property; after that, calls are scheduled as the project needs them.

How do I reach you?

Email hello@skyerworks.com or use the contact form on the home page. Both reach Wayne directly.

Is SkyerWorks on social media?

Yes. SkyerWorks is @skyerworks on Instagram (opens in a new tab), @skyerworks on X (opens in a new tab) and SkyerWorks on Facebook (opens in a new tab), with new websites, maps and builds in progress. For a project, email or the contact form is still the quickest way to reach Wayne.

Is SkyerWorks only for weddings?

No. Business websites get the same hand-built treatment: restaurants, trades, clinics, studios and shops. Wedding websites are one of four services, and backyard, ballroom, barn or beach all count.
