Custom wedding websites

A wedding website guests actually open, from $1,000.

SkyerWorks designs and hand-codes wedding websites from $1,000: a custom design for your celebration, RSVP, schedule and travel information, gallery and registry links, 12 months of standard hosting and two revision rounds. Destination packages with an illustrated property map and a room finder start at $2,000. You see a free first-pass homepage before you pay a deposit, and you get a real launch date before you commit. Every site is designed and built by Wayne Scire, whose own destination wedding website, ido2026.com, gave every guest an island map with directions.

What the $1,000 wedding website includes

For $1,000 you get a wedding website designed for your celebration, not a template, with the pages guests need and a year of hosting included. The destination package at $2,000 adds the property map and room finder that out-of-town guests rely on.

Starting packages use your supplied photos and draft text. Payment is 50% to begin and the balance before launch; the price is fixed in a written proposal first. The pricing page lists every starting price.

Hosting after the first year

Standard wedding hosting renews at $180 a year after the included first year, or you can choose a care plan from $79 a month, which adds monitoring, backups and a set amount of updates each month.

Free builder, paid plan or custom

A free builder is the right choice for many weddings. A custom site is worth it when the template, the platform's address or the missing map starts costing your guests time. Published pricing guides generally put builder plans at $99 to $199 a year and agency-built wedding sites at $5,000 and up; SkyerWorks sits between them at $1,000 to $2,000, with copywriting, extra pages and 3D previews quoted.

What goes on a destination wedding website

A destination wedding website carries everything a travelling guest needs: how to get there, where to stay, which room is theirs, how to find the property and what happens each day.

  • Travel page. Airports, how to get from the airport to the property, and whether guests need a passport or other documents.
  • Hotel blocks and rooms. Where guests stay, how to book and the deadlines. For a villa or resort, the room finder lights up each guest's suite, level by level.
  • The property map. One custom illustrated property with up to 8 clickable points of interest, with a print-ready version for welcome binders, signage and QR cards.
  • Directions that work where pins do not. A 3D driving-direction preview, like the Island Journey demo, shows guests the last stretch of road before they drive it.
  • The timeline. Each event of the weekend, with arrival and departure days so guests can book the right flights.
  • RSVP and FAQ. The RSVP form, plus the questions travelling guests ask: dress code, weather, what to pack, how to get around.

The destination wedding website checklist covers each item and when it has to be live. Maps are built from floor plans, a site plan, listing photos, a drone shot or a phone video walking the property; see interactive property maps for what a map costs on its own.

Privacy: who can see your wedding website

Whether your site needs a password, and how guest details are shared, is agreed up front. An unlisted link alone is not private.

A wedding website carries names, a date, a place and, with a room finder, who is sleeping where. Some couples share a link by invitation; others want a password on the whole site or only on the travel and room pages. The room finder shows only what you have agreed to share. The site is built the way skyerworks.com is built: hand-coded, with no analytics or ad pixels unless you ask for them (on skyerworks.com the only cookies are Google’s, set by the spam check on the contact form).

The first-hand example: ido2026.com

ido2026.com is Wayne and Christy's own destination wedding website, built for their wedding at Villa Serenita, St. Thomas, on October 7, 2026. It gave every guest an island map with directions, the schedule, travel information and RSVP.

The case study walks through the pages. The Island Journey 3D route preview drives the last 1.2 miles to Villa Serenita from the Cabrita Point sign on Route 322, about five minutes by car, with a five-second stop at each real roadside sign.

Timing: when the site has to be live

Most couples want the site live before save-the-dates go out, so the address can go on the card. You get a real launch date before you commit to anything.

Say on the first call when save-the-dates are going out and when invitations follow. The proposal fixes the price and the launch date together. The biggest variable is how quickly photos and text arrive; a destination package takes longer because the property has to be drawn. The process page goes through the four steps, from the fifteen-minute call and the free mockup to launch; the FAQ answers the questions about ownership, hosting and revisions.

Not only destination weddings

Backyard, ballroom, barn or beach: the $1,000 wedding website is for any celebration where guests need the details in one place.

A local wedding still needs the schedule, the RSVP, the registry links and a page that looks like the invitations. Business websites get the same hand-built treatment: restaurants, trades, clinics, studios and shops.

Questions about wedding websites

How much does a wedding website cost?

At SkyerWorks, a custom wedding website starts at $1,000 and the destination package with a property map and room finder at $2,000, both with 12 months of standard hosting included. Published pricing guides generally put builder plans at $99 to $199 a year and agency-built wedding sites at $5,000 and up.

What is included for $1,000?

Custom design for the celebration; RSVP, schedule and travel information; gallery and registry links; 12 months of standard hosting; and two revision rounds. Starting packages use your supplied photos and draft text.

Is hosting included?

Yes, for the first 12 months. After that, standard wedding hosting renews at $180 a year, or you can choose a care plan from $79 a month.

Can the site be password protected?

Yes. Whether the whole site, or only the travel and room pages, needs a password is agreed up front, along with how guest details are shared. An unlisted link alone is not private.

How far ahead should the site be live?

Most couples want it live before save-the-dates go out. Tell Wayne the date on the first call and the proposal gives you a real launch date before you commit.

Do we own the site and the domain?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name, and after final payment your design, content and domain are yours; the shared map engine is licensed to you for your site, forever. Domain registration itself is separate from the build.

What does the free mockup include?

After a short call confirms scope and budget, Wayne designs one first-pass homepage free, so you see the direction before committing. Revisions and the full build start after you approve the proposal and pay the 50% deposit.
