What the $500 interactive map includes
The $500 interactive map covers one custom illustrated property with up to 8 clickable points of interest, a mobile-friendly map on a shareable page, print-ready map artwork and two revision rounds. A static version of the same kind of illustration starts at $250, and room finders, 3D maps and route guides are quoted to scope.
| Map type | From | What guests get | What you supply |
|---|---|---|---|
| Static illustrated map | $250 | One illustrated view of the property as an image, for a wedding website, a welcome binder, a sign or a PDF. | A site plan or floor plans and listing photos; a drone shot if you have one. |
| Interactive map | $500 | The illustration on a mobile-friendly web page with up to 8 clickable points of interest, shared by a link, plus print-ready artwork. | The same plans and photos, plus what each point of interest should say. |
| Room finder | Quoted | A map that lights up each guest's suite, level by level, so arriving guests know where they sleep. | Floor plans for every level and the room list; how guest details are shared is agreed up front. |
| 3D drive preview | Quoted | A turn-by-turn 3D preview of the drive to your gate, with the real roadside signs marked. | The destination, the start point guests use and photos of the signs. See 3D driving directions. |
Starting packages use the photos and draft text you supply. Larger properties and custom features are quoted separately, and the price is fixed in a written proposal before drawing starts. Payment is 50% to begin and the balance before launch. Every starting price is on the pricing page.
What you supply
A map is built from whatever you already have: floor plans, a site plan, listing photos, a drone shot, or a phone video walking the property. If there are no plans at all, a video-call walk-through works.
- Floor plans and a site plan. The ground truth for where buildings, paths, pools and parking sit.
- Listing photos. Roof colors, materials, planting: the details that make the illustration recognizably yours.
- A drone shot or a phone video walk-through. Fills the gaps plans leave: a terrace added later, a path that was moved, the view from the gate.
- A video-call walk-through. You walk the property on a video call while Wayne watches and asks; enough to draw from when nothing else exists.
Copywriting for the points of interest can be added to the scope.
The room finder
The room finder lights up each guest's suite, level by level, so a guest arriving at a villa or a hotel block knows which door is theirs before they reach it.
It is part of the destination wedding package from $2,000, where guests look up their room from the wedding website, and it can be added to any property map, quoted to scope.
Because a room finder carries guest names, how guest details are shared, and whether the page needs a password, is agreed up front. An unlisted link alone is not private: anyone who has the address can open it, and addresses get forwarded. If the list of who sleeps where should stay among the guests, the page gets a password.
Print versions
Every map comes with a print-ready version, so the same illustration goes into welcome binders, onto signage and onto QR cards that open the interactive map.
The print files are yours after final payment, along with the design and content of the web map; the shared map engine is licensed to you for your site, forever. A QR card by the bed or at reception hands guests the interactive version without asking them to type an address.
Who the maps are for
Villas, boutique hotels, resorts, wedding venues and estates: any property where a guest has to find a room, a pool, a ceremony lawn or the right gate.
For a wedding, the map usually lives on the wedding website next to the schedule and travel pages; the destination wedding package from $2,000 includes a property map and room finder. For a villa or a hotel it is a page of its own that the booking confirmation links to. For a venue or an estate with several buildings, it shows guests the whole property before they arrive. If your property also has a hard last mile, a 3D driving-directions preview covers the road to the gate.
See the maps
Two showcase maps and one 3D route preview show the range of the work.
- Villa map and Map studio are showcase maps: the illustrated style and the interactive layer, with clickable points of interest.
- Island Journey is a 3D turn-by-turn preview of the last 1.2 miles to a villa on St. Thomas, with Mapbox satellite imagery and 3D terrain, built as a client proof of concept.
- ido2026.com is the founder's own destination wedding website, which gave every guest an island map with directions.
Updates after launch
Properties change: a new restaurant, a renamed suite, a pool that moved. The $149 care plan includes up to 1 hour of content or map updates each month, and the $299 plan up to 3 hours.
Update hours reset monthly and do not roll over, and additional work is $100 an hour. The $79 plan covers hosting, monitoring and backups without update hours. If you would rather make changes yourself, say so at the start and an editing system with a short training session can be part of the scope. All three plans are on the pricing page.
The process, in four steps
- The call
Fifteen minutes about your property: who stays, what they struggle to find, and where the map will live.
- The free mockup
Wayne draws a first pass of the map. You see it before you pay a thing, then say yes or say what to change.
- The build
Every building, every room, every pin, from floor plans, photos or a phone video walk-through, with two revision rounds.
- Live and looked after
Published on your domain or your wedding site, print files handed over, and updated when plans change.
The process page goes through timelines and what you supply, and the FAQ covers ownership, hosting and revisions.
Questions about property maps
How much does an interactive property map cost?
At SkyerWorks, an interactive map of one property with up to 8 clickable points of interest is $500; a static illustrated map is $250; room finders, 3D maps and route guides are quoted to scope. Published pricing guides generally put illustrated wedding and venue maps from independent illustrators at $200 to $300, which is the static map's range, while enterprise wayfinding platforms are quote-only and aimed at large resorts and kiosks.
What is the difference between a static and an interactive map?
A static map is one image: it goes on a website, in a PDF or on a sign, and nothing on it can be tapped. An interactive map is the same illustration on a mobile-friendly web page where up to 8 points of interest open when a guest taps them, shared by a link.
Do I need floor plans?
No. Plans make the map more accurate, but a site plan, listing photos, a drone shot or a phone video walking the property all work, and if there are no plans at all a video-call walk-through is enough to draw from. A room finder does need floor plans for every level it covers.
Can the map go on my existing website?
Yes. The interactive map comes as a shareable page you can link to from anywhere, and after final payment the map's design and content are yours and the shared map engine is licensed to you for your site, forever, so the map can live on your own site or be hosted under a care plan from $79 a month.
Is the room finder private?
Only if it is set up that way. How guest details are shared, and whether the page needs a password, is agreed before the build. An unlisted link alone is not private, because anyone who has the address can open it, so a room finder that lists who sleeps where normally gets a password.
Can I print the map?
Yes. Every map, static or interactive, comes with a print-ready version for welcome binders, signage and QR cards, and the print files are yours to keep after final payment.
What does the free mockup include?
After a short call confirms scope and budget, Wayne draws a first pass of your map, free, so you can see the direction before committing. Revisions and the full build begin after you approve the proposal and pay the 50% deposit.
